Who Pooped in the Cake?

Oh Katie Scat, if you lived in Chicago and came over to my house for Halloween, I would have this cake ready just for you! So, you can make one in MT and I can make one in IL and it will be like we are celebrating together! Truth is, this cake is the ultimate in gross outs for looks, but crazy delicious for taste...I mean, cake, cookies, pudding and candy-sounds like dinner to me!

Bake it, gross someone out and then eat it, we will be!

Kitty Litter Cake
1 box german chocolate cake
1 box white cake
2 packages instant vanilla pudding
1 pkg (12 oz) vanilla oreos
5 drops green food coloring
16 tootsie rolls
**Buy a clean, new kitty litter pan and scoop**

-Make the cakes and pudding accdg to package directions. Let the cake cool to room temp.
-Crumble the cookies in small batches in the food processor, until crumbly.
-Take 1/4 cup of the cookie crumbs and add the food coloring, mixing gently with you hands to create the look of green flecks
-Crumble cakes in a large bowl, use a fork to break it up into small little pieces, about the size of cookie crumbs. Toss with 1/2 of the plain colored cookie crumbs and pudding.
-Put the cake mixture in the kitty litter pan (or a 9x13 or something like that)
-Place 8 Tootsie Rolls in the microwave for about 10-15 seconds until soft. Mold the warm pieces until they are curved (you know and look like cat poo)
-Bury half, leaving the ends just sticking out a bit
-Sprinkle cake with the remaining plain cookie crumbs and then add the green flecked crumbs on the top
-Heat remaining tootsies and strategically place on the top, being sure to hang a few over the edge (hey, cats have emergency poop too!)
-Serve in scoops using the kitty litter spoon! (Buy the cheapo box and spoon, wash them and store them with your Halloween stuff, its totally worth the two dollar investment!)

Yum

Ok, so without a doubt this was the grossing looking cake ever. It did not help that Meghan made it in a kitty litter box and used a pooper scooper to serve it.
