Well, it just might if you live in Louisiana, Hawaii or Florida because those three smiling places rated as the country’s happiest states in a new study. Researchers used self-reported happiness data from 1.3 million Americans along with objective measures like air quality and home prices to compile the list. So, what state has the grumpiest residents? Sorry, New Yorkers.
