NO "HOMEBOY" FOR ME!

Alright family...I am back on the blog and checking the recent posts only makes me want to express some feelings I have had this week. I was very excited to see an African American take oath, and feel the excitement around the country about the opportunities for all races. Issues aside.

A couple things that are awfully frightening and need to be expressed. (Especially for those who might still be celebrating Mr. Obama's big party on Tuesday EMJ)

Did you guys see what he did and said this week? Probably not- He didnt want the media to make a big deal out of it- like he did with the Guantanamo Bay signing. Thursday was the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade and he was quoted "that government should not intrude on our most private family matters" He then went ahead and reversed the gag rule on funding to abortions in other countries.

"On the day after the 36th anniversary of the landmark Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision, President Barack Obama repealed a Reagan-era policy that prohibited foreign nongovernmental family-planning groups from receiving U.S. funds if they provided abortions or even lobbied for abortion rights in their country."

Of course the media made a big deal out of the Guantanamo Bay closing, Obama wanted them to...but he wanted this signing behind closed doors. Can you believe our tax money is not only going to fund abortion support groups in our own country- but now the door is open to countries around the world. If that doesn't put a damper on tuesday's party I don't know what does.

I think it is unbelievable and a far worse decision than a war in Iraq- 2,000 soldiers died in Iraq. Over 1,000,000 babies die each year from abortion in America alone! Why is this not a priority for Americans?

Why do we idolize this man? I don't think any man who supports this should be idolized. Period. I am a little fired up this weekend - would love to be excited for Obama - but my heart hurts for those babies. I think Americans need to look into this issue more and move it higher on your "issue" list when thinking and talking politics. It is far more pertinent than the Unicorns.

Would love to hear your thoughts. I promise my posts will be on the lighter side going forward.

You have time to write in the family blog, but you don't have time to treasure hunt? Geez man! Where are your priorities? Kidding.
