25 years ago on New Years Day was a day I will never forget. That day has left a mark on me for the rest of my life...yes, it was the day where I was no longer cute little "bobby," I was now "scarface!" In memory of that infamous day, I decided to take my own daughter out and do some tobaggoning to see how it must have felt. I also took that moment to reflect on the decisions and the pain that my own father must have made and felt. I wish to post a few lesson I have learned in response to that day. Mothers and fathers everywhere please read and heed, then watch the memorial video that Lucy and I shot of the infamous day.
Tobaggoning Rules:
#1 Do not use an old tobaggon with sharp edges. (note the plastic tobaggon in video)
#2 Do not send your child down a hill that you cannot see the bottom of
#3 Never trust an older sister to get out of the way!
#4 Remain calm when your child wipes-out on the first attempt!
future Luge champion!
